Victim attacked and robbed in Downtown Pittsburgh | Search for suspects
PITTSBURGH —
A woman was allegedly assaulted by two suspects in Downtown Pittsburgh Wednesday evening.
Authorities were called to Gateway Center at Stanwix Street and Liberty Avenue for a report of an assault at 6 p.m.
When first responders arrived, they spoke with the victim who said she had been attacked by two women.
“Officers were informed that an interaction took place between the victim and the actors — who were known to each other — prior to the assault taking place,” Pittsburgh Public Safety officials said.

The victim, who was conscious and alert, suffered a laceration to her forehead and had her phone stolen from her.
According to Pittsburgh Public Safety, the two suspects fled toward Liberty Avenue and Sixth Street. A description of the suspects was not available from public safety officials.
An investigation is ongoing.
