ALLENTOWN, Pa. – A nonprofit’s challenge to a data center proposal before the Allentown Zoning Hearing Board on Monday night at city hall was postponed.
The appeal, offered by Camelot for Children, alleges a zoning officer’s determination in October 2025 that a data center could be permitted as a by-right use across the street from its business at 2354 W. Emaus Ave. is incorrect.
Quantm Group LLC, a data center development company, submitted plans to convert an empty 224,000-square-foot warehouse at 2401 W. Emaus Ave. into a data center. The location is in the city’s General Industrial (I-3) zoning district.

The company is scheduled to formally resubmit its plans to accommodate comments that the city’s planning commission made about the data center during a special meeting on July 16.
Camelot for Children provides programs and support for children with disabilities or serious medical conditions, as well as their families.
No hearing postponement date was provided Monday night.
