Taylor community celebrates America’s 250th birthday with an event featuring music, car shows, and food, supporting local unity.
TAYLOR, Pa. — The borough of Taylor in Lackawanna County is celebrating America’s 250th birthday with a party at its community center along Main Street.
The festivities kicked off at 1 p.m. with music, car shows, raffles, and much more.
Organizers say today’s event was a great time for the community.
“Oh, it’s unbelievable. We had a car show here today. 30 cars. We had two bands, we have hot dogs, pizza ,coke everything. It’s good when the community comes out and the borough is behind them 100%,” said Frank DeAngelo, Taylor Council vice president.
The America 250 celebration wrapped up around 7 p.m.
