NORTH WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. – The company that owns A-Treat soda is broadening its distribution portfolio.
Jaindl Beverage Company, a division of Jaindl Companies, has purchased Allentown-based Hawk Enterprises.
The purchase price was not disclosed. According to a news release, the acquisition adds 19 brands to the Jaindl Beverage Company’s distribution network.
Those brands include a mix of water, energy and ready-to-drink coffee offerings, like Sparkling Ice, Essentia, Prime Hydration, Liquid Death, Bucked Up, Lemon Perfect, Super Coffee, and Ryl Tea.
The purchase also allows Jaindl to expand its core distribution territory beyond the immediate Lehigh Valley into a five-county regional footprint made up of Lehigh, Northampton, Berks, Carbon, and Schuylkill counties.
“This acquisition marks an important milestone for Jaindl Beverage Company,” said David Jaindl, owner of Jaindl Beverage Company, in the release.
“Integrating Hawk Enterprises’ operations and strong brand lineup allows us to better serve our retail partners, reach new communities across five counties, and offer consumers an incredible variety of top-tier beverages. We are thrilled to welcome these exceptional brands into the Jaindl family and build upon Hawk’s strong foundation in the region.”
Prior to the agreement, Jaindl’s beverage lineup focused on three primary brands: A-Treat, Niagara Water, and Arizona Tea.
While the company is just a distributor of Niagara Water and Arizona Tea, the A-Treat brand was purchased and revived by Jaindl in 2015, after A-Treat announced it was ceasing production at its Allentown plant.
Jaindl Companies, which also includes its turkey farm and land development businesses, is based in North Whitehall Township.
