Pedestrian hospitalized after being hit by car in Scranton

Crews responded to Route 307 in Scranton early Tuesday morning after a person was hit by a car.

LACKAWANNA COUNTY, Pa. — UPDATE 7:00 AM: The scene has been cleared, and Route 307 is now open in both directions.

Emergency crews responded to an early morning crash in Scranton after a person was hit by a car along Route 307.

First responders were called to the scene around 3:30 a.m. One person was taken to a hospital following the collision; their current condition has not been released.

Route 307 remains closed in both directions in the area, while the incident is under investigation in Scranton.
