LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. – A pair of District 11 field hockey semifinalists from last season collided in Easton for to kick off the scholastic season.
Easton hosted Northampton and got out to an early lead thanks to goals from Lexi Tice and Avery Causa to make it 2-0 Rovers. Northampton would fight back with two goals from Emma Schall including the game-winning goal in Overtime. Madi Williamson tied things up at two in the fourth quarter.
Back in Whitehall, the Zephyrs hosted the state quarterfinalists Parkland Trojans for their season opener. The Trojans picked up their second win of the season with a shutout 8-0 performance.
