Evil on Erie is returning to Lafayette this fall for one final fright.
Homestead Resources announced this will be the final season for the volunteer-powered haunted attraction.
The event transforms an old warehouse on Erie Street into a haunt, with volunteers helping build sets, plan scares and bring the attraction to life.
Organizers say the haunt has also been used as a financial education program for local teens, giving them hands-on experience with managing money, building themed rooms, and designing sets.
Nearly 50,000 people have visited evil on erie over the years.
The final season opens in October, with the final nights scheduled for Halloween weekend.
