(WJET/WFXP) — Kids and adults of all ages can enjoy the zoo for free this weekend.
On Saturday, September 5, the Erie Zoo will host its third annual “Zoo for All” event, inviting guests to attend the zoo for free all day.
Erie leaders spotlight rising food insecurity at start of Hunger Action Month
The event will be presented by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield as part of their “Healthy Zoo, Healthy You” initiative.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the zoo will also host a book drive, with all proceeds going towards their conservation efforts.
The zoo will hold a goldfish and Koi fish intake event on Saturday for their Last Chance Lagoon Conservation Program, which offers a permanent sanctuary for surrendered fish. For more information on the program, visit their website here.
