Work resumes on Bogert’s Covered Bridge in Allentown | Allentown Area

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Work has resumed on the oldest bridge in Lehigh County.

Officials say timbers are being installed on Bogert’s Covered Bridge in Allentown’s Lehigh Parkway.

Repairs were paused in July while crews waited for more materials.

The city had said they discovered the bridge was damaged worse than they initially thought.

The city is hoping to have the bridge open by the end of the year.
