DELMAR, N.Y. (WRGB) — Bethlehem police have released the identity of a man killed after a crash in Delmar on Aug. 24.
They say Kevin Hynes, 62, of Wynantskill, was trying to swerve to avoid a car at Delaware Avenue and Fisher Boulevard that didn’t yield while turning left.
Hynes avoided that car but hit a third car.
Hynes died over the weekend from his injuries.
The driver of the first car, Daniel Holleran, 71, of Pennsylvania, was ticketed for failure to yield while turning left.
Police do not believe drugs or alcohol were involved.
