Park officials anticipate the closure will remain in place through and including Sunday, September 6.

The park first closed Thursday morning after storms moving through the area knocked down several power lines and impacted numerous trees throughout the park.

Officials said their crews and those from other western Pennsylvania parks are working diligently to have the park open in time for the holiday weekend.

According to a release from Mary Jo Rutkowski, community relations specialist for the park, “The Tom Ridge Environmental Center and Erie Bluff’s State Park remain open to visitors for the holiday weekend.”
