The Foundation for the Reading Pagoda offered tours Sunday of the renovated city landmark. A total of 360 people signed up for the tours, which were scheduled on the half-hour.
A tree that fell on Duryea Drive overnight Sunday cut the power to the Pagoda, but the city fire marshal approved the tours under emergency power, foundation President Alexa Freyman said.
Additional tours will be offered Sept. 19 and Oct. 24, with more dates planned. See www.readingpagoda.com/visit for ticket information. The Pagoda is expected to resume regular operations in 2027.
