The German Heritage Festival is back at Saint Nick’s Grove this weekend.
The festival showcases German foods, beer, creations and live music, bringing the culture center stage through the weekend.

Due to the rainfall in the past week, the grass lot alongside the grove is closed, but organizers are offering shuttle services throughout the weekend, transporting attendees from the casino throughout the entirety of both days.
Organizers said highlighting all of the cultures that make up Erie is what celebrations like the German Heritage Festival are all about.
“It just brings Erie together, it brings people of other cultures and other ethnic backgrounds to see what we have here as Germans, and of course, with any of them, honestly. It gets everybody to see each other’s cultures,” said volunteer Roman Luniewski.
The grounds were open until 8 p.m. Saturday tonight, opening back up at 11 Sunday morning until 5:30 in the evening.
