Anna Marie Hallman

OBITUARY

Anna Marie Hallman, 96, of Salisbury Twp., passed away Sunday, August 30, 2026, peacefully in her home. She was the loving wife of the late James G. Hallman. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Amelia (DiMeglio) Iasiello.

Anna Marie was a graduate of Fountain Hill High School. A dedicated and familiar face in local retail, she worked as a department manager across several different areas at Hess’s Department Store for 25 years before her well-deserved retirement. Her devotion to her household was evident throughout her career; she intentionally turned down multiple offers for professional advancement at Hess’s because she refused to take positions that required travel and time away from her family.

An exceptionally talented individual, Anna Marie was an accomplished piano player. She also poured love into her kitchen, finding great joy in cooking and baking for her family and friends. She made sure that every holiday was a spectacular event, most notably Thanksgiving. She famously insisted that everyone—a crowd that could grow to 80 family members—sit down together for the holiday meal. A testament to her generous spirit, she would bake 18 homemade pies for the occasion, ensuring that every single one of her 11 children left that evening with a full pie to take home.

Above all else, Anna Marie dedicated her entire life to caring for others; her family, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the absolute center of her world. She was a faithful member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Allentown. Anna Marie grew up in a vibrant, bustling household as the youngest of nine children.

Survivors: Children: James (Lori) Hallman, Cece Davis (Mike), Nancy Willgruber (Ron Coleman), Barbara Maquera, Carol (Mike) Pochron, Lois (Scott) Hensinger, Joanne (Bob) Kovarovic, Mark Hallman, David (Megan) Hallman, Christine (Tom) Boty, and Jennifer Caldes. She is also survived by a magnificent legacy of 34 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Anna Marie was reunited in heaven with her sons-in-law, Tom Willgruber and Peter A. “Pete” Caldes; and her cherished granddaughters, Erin Willgruber and Sheena Villa.

Services: A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at the Heintzelman-Stephens Funeral Home, P.C., 274 N. Krocks Rd., Allentown. A visitation period will take place immediately prior from 12:30 – 2:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. www.heintzelmanstephens.com
