Duryea Police are seeking information on the burglary of an apartment on Main Street.
According to investigators, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Main Street around 11:22 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, for a report of a burglary at one of the apartments on the second floor.
The victim reported to police that she was in the process of moving to the area from New York and had moved personal belongings into the apartment on Monday, Aug. 31.
According to police, when the family returned to the apartment on Sept. 4, her son discovered that his PlayStation 5 was missing and that multiple boxes inside the residence had been searched.
During the investigation, it was determined that entry may have been gained through a second-story window in the front of the residence, police said.
The incident remains under investigation. Duryea police are asking anyone with information about the burglary or who observed suspicious activity in the area, including anyone who saw someone entering or exiting a second-story window of the building, to contact the Duryea Police Department at 570-457-1721, Ext. 1.
Police are also searching for surveillance footage from the area that may be helpful to investigators.
