NORTH ABINGTON TWP., LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — Jurassic Farm Dino Fest brought prehistoric fun to Roba Family Farms this Labor Day weekend.
For the first time, the farm opened its annual fall event early, welcoming visitors to explore more than 30 life-sized dinosaurs, learn about history, and enjoy limited-time festival treats.
General Manager at Roba Family Farms, Tony Mercuri, shared what else the festival has to offer.
“We have 30-plus life-sized dinosaurs. We have dinosaur shows up on our big stage. We have some dinosaur trainers walking around. We even got a professor in dinosaurs to go run our pig shows and our candy cannon. So, a little bit of a change up this year for those who are used to the show, they’re going to find something a little new and a little fun,” said Mercuri.
Mercuri said this was the first year Dino Fest opened during Labor Day weekend, and the event saw a strong turnout.
“It’s the first time we’ve ever been open for Labor Day weekend, we didn’t really know what to expect going into it. But it’s been a really good long weekend. It’s been great weather and as you can see, there’s a lot of people here to enjoy it too,” said Mercuri.
Jurassic Farm Dino Fest runs through September 27th at Roba Family Farms.
