Pittsburgh: Rain late Wednesday, Impact Day Thursday
The most widespread, heavy rain will likely be early Thursday morning.

Our next rain chance begins late Wednesday night followed by an Impact Day with rain on Thursday.
Impact Day – Thursday
A cold front will drop in late Wednesday and Thursday. The majority of the showers will likely hold off until after sunset Wednesday, but we can’t rule out a stray shower late Wednesday morning. Thursday is an Impact Day with periods of rain and the potential for storms. At this point, no widespread severe weather is expected. Any storm that does develop will have the potential to produce gusty winds. The front will slowly work from north to south and clear late Thursday into Friday morning. By the time we are done, many of us will see over an inch of rain, which could lead to flooding problems.

We may have to watch for a shower for Pitt’s game Saturday against UCF.
Once we get through the rain on Thursday, we dry out for Friday and the weekend. Humidity levels will drop as well. The forecast looks great for a busy weekend of football around Western PA with games for high schools, Pitt, and the Steelers on deck. The only bump in the road is the possibility of a few light showers Saturday afternoon. Otherwise, majority of the weekend will be dry.
