A “small amount” of mold was found inside the police station within the Dickson City Municipal Building, borough Manager Cesare Forconi said Tuesday.
“There is some mold, I don’t know if it’s black mold,” Forconi said. “I’m not a mold expert. It’s pretty much isolated underneath the window, where there was some moisture getting in, apparently.”
Forconi added a crew from Servepro assessed the problem last week. Tuesday’s borough council meeting was to be held as scheduled, he added.
“They have filters and dehumidifiers running, and will return Wednesday to complete another assessment,” Forconi said. “We rely on experts to tell us what is happening and they assured is there is no safety hazard.”
