ALLEN TWP., Pa.- A third party logistics company is closing a warehouse in Northampton County.
According to a notice filed with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor in accordance with the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act, Kenco Logistic Services will cease operations at 150 Cesanek Road outside Northampton in Allen Township.
52 employees will be impacted by the closure, the notice says, which also states that operations will begin to wind down in November and end April 1, 2027.
According to a real estate listing, the 601,836 square-foot facility was built in 2022.
That same year, Kichler Lighting of Ohio announced it was opening a third-party managed distribution center in the space.
JW Development Partners has owned the property since 2018, according to Northampton County property records. The site is part of what the company refers to as JW Industrial Park Route 329.
