HERMITAGE — An upcoming presentation will give the public a chance to learn about the local history of the Erie Canal Extension.
A narrative detailing an 1849-era trip on the Erie Canal Extension from Harrisburg to Big Bend, near Mercer, will be presented at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, in the Stewart House, 5465 E. State St., Hermitage — home of the Hermitage Historical Society.
