• Reformation Lutheran Church, 3670 Perkiomen Ave., Exeter Township, will celebrate God’s Work, Our Hands, Sunday during the 9:30 a.m. worship service. More than 135 quilts, made by Reformation’s Links of Love Quilting Ministry, will be blessed during the worship service and then sent off to benefit Lutheran World Relief sites throughout the world. A Miller-Keystone Blood Drive will take place between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the parish hall. Fill the Truck, an Opportunity House initiative to donate good, usable furniture, clothing and household items, helping families get back on their feet after experiencing homelessness, will be held on the rear parking lot from noon to 3 p.m. Other events include an introductory yoga workshop at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary and a food truck parked in the portico circle offering hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken sandwiches and beverages beginning at 11:30 a.m. All proceeds will be given to Opportunity House, Reading.
• St. John’s Gernant’s Church (A Federated Congregation), 13 Gernant’s Church Road, Ontelaunee Township, will worship Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in the Memorial Hall. Sunday is Harvest Home Service. Food will be collected to be given to Bethany Children’s Home in Heidelberg Township. Fran Merkel and Shirley Breininger will perform a piano and flue duet entitled “Precious Savior, Dear Redeemer.” There will be fellowship following the service. Bible study will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m.
• Zion’s Lutheran Church, 354 Zions Church Road, Perry Twp., will hold its monthly bike ride today on the Schuylkill River Trail, starting at Birdsboro. The group will leave the church at 9 a.m. The church picnic will be held after the 10:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday. School kits for Lutheran World Relief will be filled after the picnic as part of the ELCA God’s Work, Our Hands Day.
• United Church of Christ of Robesonia, 301 W. Penn Ave., will celebrate Rally Day on Sunday during the 10:15 a.m. worship service. A presentation by Cissy and the Man will begin at 10:15 in the sanctuary. Cissy is a clown; the Man is a juggler. They will share a Bible story. The Men’s Fellowship Group will hold a breakfast today at 8:30 a.m. at the Heidelberg Family Restaurant, 910 W. Penn Ave., Robesonia. The women of the church will meet today at 9 a.m. to make chow chow as a fundraising project.
• The Rev. David Lutcher will lead worship and present the sermon on Sunday at 9 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 222 Niantic Road, Douglass Township, Montgomery County. It is God’s Hand, Our Work Sunday. After the service, members are invited to stay and assemble birthday bags for the Boyertown Multi-Service. Coffee and conversation will be held at 8:30 and 10.
• Salem Shalters Lutheran Church, 2032 Mount Laurel Road, Alsace Township, will hold a Red Cross blood drive today from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
• The Rev. Bob Argot will lead the 9:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday at Salem Lutheran Church, 8410 Lancaster Ave., Bethel Township. Mitch Keath from the area Gideons will present the message.
• Huff’s Union Church, 540 Conrad Road, Hereford Township, will hold its annual Harvest Home Sunday on Sept. 20 to celebrate its blessings in the form of food, especially bountiful produce provided by local gardens. James Reece, director of Friend Inc., will be the guest speaker. Bring something that can be given to the food pantry. If you have an abundance of home-grown food, like fresh vegetables or fruits that you would be willing to share, that would be wonderful. They will also accept canned or boxed goods.
In order to have an event listed in the religion digest, it must be something that is not just a regular worship service.
