Daron Wilkins scored three different ways as Reading High defeated Lebanon 54-12 in a non-league football game on Friday night, the Red Knights’ first win of the season.

Wilkins scored on a 17-yard run, 54-yard punt return and 72-yard kickoff return. He rushed for 62 yards on just four carries.

Reading High (1-2) led 32-0 at halftime. Jahleer Nunn had touchdown runs of 7 and 5 yards, Wilkins his 17-yarder, Makye Lias an 11-yard TD scamper and Jason Reyes a 24-yard TD run in the first half. Reyes gained 50 yards in the game on just three carries.

Reading opens its Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 1 season on Friday at home (Shirk Stadium at Albright College) against Penn Manor.

Lebanon is 0-3 and hosts Elizabethtown on Friday in its LL Section 2 opener.

Wilson 42, Muhlenberg 6: The Bulldogs improved to 2-1 heading into LL Section 1 play with a 36-point win over the Muhls. Quarterback Cole Peterson threw four touchdowns, including two to Braydon Farrell, both 22-yard strikes. Jackson Becker opened the scoring with a 9-yard TD catch from Peterson. Monty Greer scored three times – runs of 3 and 15 yards, and a 10-yard TD reception. Peterson finished 20 of 25 for 221 yards. Wilson opens LL Section 1 play at home on Friday against Manheim Township, 3-0 and a 31-27 winner over Central York on Friday night. Muhlenberg hosts Solanco on Friday in their LL Section 2 openers.

Hempfield 50, Gov. Mifflin 13: Donte Lewis scored three touchdowns to lead Hempfield to a non-league win over the Mustangs on Friday night. Gov. Mifflin’s Patrick Steuer gained 80 yards rushing on 19 carries and scored on a two-yard run in the first quarter. Mifflin took a 13-12 lead in the second quarter when Guy Campetelli caught a 5-yard TD pass from Jack Miller, but the Mustangs didn’t score in the second half as Hempfield ran off 38 straight points. Mifflin (0-3) opens LL Section 2 play at home on Friday night against Conestoga Valley.

Fleetwood 28, Elco 14: Chase Adams ran for two touchdowns and threw for another as the Tigers defeated Elco in a non-league game on Friday night. Adams had TD runs of 1 and 4 yards, the second sealing the game in the fourth quarter. He connected with Hunter Fegely on a 73-yard scoring pass in the second quarter. Beau Fegely put Fleetwood (2-1) ahead, 21-14, with a 9-yard TD run in the third quarter. Adams completed 9 of 20 passes for 171 yards and Beau Fegely gained 67 yards on 13 carries. Fleetwood opens up LL Section 3 play on the road Friday night at Garden Spot.

Schuylkill Valley 38, Newport 7: Alex Aletras threw four touchdown passes and ran for one as the Panthers (2-1) prepped for LL Section 5 play with a 38-7 win at home. Aletras completed 17 of 24 passes for 206. Schuylkill Valley opens league play at home Friday night against Columbia.

Kutztown 47, Camp Hill 12: Ryan Walters scored five rushing touchdowns and gained 327 yards as the Cougars (1-2) won their first game of the season. Walters had scoring runs of 87, 26, 8, 2 and 44 yards. Hunter Amato (26 yards) and Brysen Schictel (12 yards) had Kutztown’s other rushing touchdowns. Kutztown opens LL Section 5 play at Pequea Valley on Friday night.
