An investigation is underway after a baby boy died in Philadelphia’s Kensington neighborhood early Friday morning.
According to the Philadelphia Police Department, on Friday, November 7, 2025, around 4:30 a.m., officers and medics responded to the 1900 block of East Cumberland Street. Medics pronounced a baby boy dead at 4:42 a.m.
The investigation is being led by the Special Victims Unit, according to police.
Police have not revealed the cause or circumstances surrounding the child’s death.
