State police have identified two Factoryville women killed in a one-vehicle rollover crash on Interstate 81 North in South Abington Twp. Friday afternoon.
Driver Jennifer L. Olson, 54, and passenger Diane L. Olson, 77, died after their 2025 Hyundai Tucson veered off I-81 North into the center median, struck an embankment and overturned multiple times, state police said in a release. The accident happened at about 3:17 p.m. at mile marker 194.5 near the Clarks Summit exit, police said.
Both women were transported to Geisinger Community Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead, according to Lackawanna County Coroner Timothy Rowland.
State police are continuing their investigation of the crash.
