United Neighborhood Centers of Northeastern Pennsylvania presented its inaugural Volunteer of the Year Award to Pat Moran during the organization’s International Dinner & Celebration at St. Mary’s Center in Scranton. The award was presented by Terilynn Brechtel, UNC’s chief operating officer, in recognition of Moran’s 17 years of dedicated service through UNC’s community education programs. A longtime Scranton Council for Literacy Advance volunteer, citizenship tutor and class leader, Moran has supported countless students as they build skills, confidence and pathways to U.S. citizenship.
