David J. Resh
OBITUARY
David J. Resh, 70 of Slatington, passed away November 2, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest in Allentown. Born May 2, 1955 in Allentown, he was the son of the late Thomas D. Resh and the late Rose (Wonderly) Resh. David was the loving husband of Lois (Steigler) Resh for 28 years.
After graduating high school, David enlisted in the Navy, serving his country during the Peacetime era before being Honorably Discharged. Once returning home, he went to work for Agere as a bench hand for a few years before moving to the USPS as a rural carrier. David went on to work for the USPS for over 20 years before retiring. In his free time, he loved to assemble his model train collection. David was a member of the Bowmanstown Rod and Gun Club, and enjoyed spending time with his dog Ginger.
Surviving along with his wife, step-son Daniel Motika and wife Liz of White Oak, PA, step-granddaughters Jillian and Kaitlynn, brother, Charlie Resh and wife Carol of Fogelsville, PA, and sister, Marian Peifley of Allentown, PA. He was predeceased by brother, Daniel Resh and sister, Mildred McKeeby.
A Funeral Service will be held on November 11, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Schisler Funeral Home, Northampton, PA. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 AM up until the time of service. Interment will be on November 14, 2025 in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown, PA, at 10:00AM.
