OBITUARY
Brian Young, 45, of Scranton, passed away unexpectedly on September 10, 2026.
On July 26, 2019, Brian married Jessica Young, and together they shared a life marked by partnership and deep love.
Born on July 29, 1981, in Englewood, New Jersey, Brian was the son of Quinton and Susan Banks Young. He built his life in the Scranton area, where he worked as an ironworker for Scranton West Mobile Welding. Known for his strong work ethic, steady hands, and commitment to his craft, Brian took great pride in the work he did and the people he worked alongside.
Brian was a fantastic mentor to many. He was dedicated to his sobriety and took pride in mentoring others on their journey. He was a local business owner who always supported local business, was quick to lend a hand, offered a sarcastic comment to lighten the mood or just laugh. Most important to him was his family. He was a devoted and loving husband and dad.
Brian is survived by Jessica, his parents, Quinton and Susan Young; his children Savanna, Brian and fiancé Emma, Jessica, William and Hunter; a sister Ann and husband Filipe Zamborlini and a sister Lindsay. He shared a very special bond with nieces Clara, Lucia Zamborlini and Alaia Slevenski; along with several other nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his work son Shawn Beck.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Wednesday, September 16 th at Savino Traditional Funerals & Cremation Care, 157 S. Main Ave, Scranton, from 4 to 6 p.m. A blessing service will take place at 6 p.m.
