Ivy Madness is coming to the Lehigh Valley.

The Ivy League announced a three-year deal on Tuesday to bring its men’s and women’s basketball tournaments to the PPL Center in Allentown, Pa., beginning with the 2028 edition.

“The PPL Center provides a neutral site in a first-class venue, a vibrant downtown setting and a location that is accessible to so many of our alumni and fans,” Ivy League Executive Director Robin Harris said in a statement. “We believe this partnership creates an exciting opportunity to continue elevating the championship experience for our student-athletes and Ivy League basketball overall.”

Located in the heart of the Lehigh Valley, the PPL Center opened in September of 2014 and serves as the home venue for the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League. The arena has a capacity of 10,000 for concerts and 8,500 for Phantoms games.

“PPL Center is thrilled to welcome Ivy Madness to the Lehigh Valley,” PPL Center co-owners Rob and Jim Brooks said. “As a hub for our community, we take pride in hosting a diverse range of events that bring people together. Ivy Madness is an exciting new addition to our calendar, offering a great experience for local fans while also welcoming visitors from across the region.”

The Ivy League Tournament had been rotating through the campus sites since its inception in the 2016-17 season. The Palestra will host it for a third time this March in celebration of the iconic venue’s 100th anniversary.

Princeton announces schedule

The Princeton men’s basketball team released its fulls schedule for the 2026-27 season on Tuesday.

The 29-game slate features 15 non-league contests and the tradition 14 within the Ivy League.

The Tigers host Carnegie Mellon in the opener on Nov. 2 at Jadwin Gymnasium. Other home dates bring Hofstra (Nov. 5), Stony Brook (Nov. 11), Monmouth (Nov. 20), Bryant and Stratton College (Dec. 8) and Temple (Dec. 22) to Old Nassau.

Road games include trips to Siena (Nov. 8), Rhode Island (Nov. 15), Vermont (Dec. 3), Northeastern (Dec. 6), LIU (Dec. 12) and St. Mary’s (Dec. 29). Princeton will also play three times at the Seahawk Classic in Wilmington, N.C. from Nov. 25-28 against Liberty, host UNC Wilmington and St. Thomas.

The Ivy League schedule begins on Jan. 4 with a visit from Penn and concludes on March 6 against Yale at Jadwin.
