Six of the top seven teams from last week had overpowering victories to strengthen their positions in The Times-Tribune High School Football Poll.

Two outcomes helped set up a Lackawanna Football Conference showdown this weekend.

No. 1 North Pocono, which has held that spot since the 2025 preseason ranking, defeated Honesdale, a ranked opponent, 42-0, to win its 13th straight regular-season game.

Valley View used another strong defensive performance to beat Wilkes-Barre Area, 17-7. The No. 3 Cougars improved to 2-1. Their loss to Northwestern Lehigh, a District 11 team that is 3-0 and outscored its opponents 104-7 in the last two weeks.

This week, North Pocono plays Valley View on Friday at John Henzes/Veterans Memorial Stadium in an LFC Division I game.

Dunmore remained a unanimous selection at No. 2 after beating Holy Cross, 63-7. The Bucks won their games by an average margin of 51.0 points. This week, Dunmore hosts Lake-Lehman, which plays its fourth straight LFC Division II opponent.

Fourth-ranked Scranton Prep (2-1) earned a 20-7 win over Fairfield Prep, Connecticut. The Cavaliers bounced back from an opening-season loss to Loyola Blakefield (2-0) with two straight wins.

The Cavaliers visit Delaware Valley (1-2), which is ranked No. 6, on Saturday at 4 p.m. The Warriors defeated East Stroudsburg South, 13-10, for their first win of the season after losing two games by an average of 2.0 points.

Lakeland moved up one spot to No. 5 after defeating Lackawanna Trail, 49-28, to improve to 3-0. The Chiefs play at Susquehanna on Saturday.

Seventh-ranked Riverside won its third straight game to improve to 3-0, beating Lake-Lehman, 27-13. The Vikings are up two places and host Lackawanna Trail on Friday.

The top six teams in this week’s ranking won last week by an average margin of 22.7 points.

Honesdale (2-1) remained at No. 8, despite its loss to North Pocono. The Hornets have an opening-night win over Wallenpaupack.

Wallenpaupack makes its poll debut at No. 9 after a 52-14 win over Western Wayne.

Abington Heights fell from No. 5 to No. 10 after suffering its second loss of the season, losing to undefeated Dallas. The Comets host West Scranton, which fell out of the poll after losing to Wyoming Valley West, 25-14, last week.

Both West Scranton and Carbondale Area, which beat Crestwood, 14-7, in Week 3, received consideration.
