A Birdsboro woman was identified as the victim of a fatal two-vehicle crash on Route 73 in Oley Township, Berks County Coroner Matthew J. Stitzel announced Tuesday.
Agustina M. Stevens, 42, was killed in the crash, which took place Monday at 6:18 a.m. at Philadelphia Avenue (Route 73) and Snyder Road.
Central Berks police said Stevens was southbound on Snyder. As she attempted to cross Route 73, she was broadsided on the driver’s side by a westbound small pickup truck driven by a 22-year-old man.
Both drivers were taken by ambulances to Reading Hospital. A hospital physician pronounced Stevens dead. The cause and manner of death are pending completion of the investigation, Stitzel said.
Information on the other driver and his condition wasn’t available.
