A man was shot in a leg after a fight broke out inside Riverside Beneficial Social Club over the weekend, Reading police said.
Police were called about 2:30 a.m. Sunday to the club at 1742 Pear St. for a reported shooting.
Officers located the shooting victim nearby in the 100 block of Bern Street. The 37-year-old man was taken by Reading Fire Department medics to Reading Hospital for treatment of a single gunshot wound to his leg, police said.
Investigators said it appears the shooting was the result of a fight in the club.
