Laurie G. Youshock
OBITUARY
Laurie G. Youshock, 73, of Madison Township, and formerly of Jessup died Friday September 11, 2026 at her home following a 5 year battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years Joseph E. Youshock.
Born in Scranton, and raised at Lake Winola – Wyoming county, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and June (Keesler) Marzani.
Laurie was a 1970 graduate of Abington Heights High School. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Emery Air Freight / UPS as a collection agent. Laurie was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Moscow.
Laurie was quick-witted, and possessed absolutely no known ability to keep an opinion to herself. She loved animals, and scratch-off tickets, despite the lottery’s continued and frankly disrespectful refusal to make her a millionaire. We like to imagine her now surrounded by animals, holding a winning ticket, and finally getting the opportunity to tell whoever is in charge exactly how things ought to be run.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Jolie Rae Youshock of Scranton, and her partner Stephen Howells; and her son Cody J. Youshock of Cedar Creek, TX; (2) grandchildren: Noah Jay and Stevie June Howells; and her brothers and sisters Daniel Marzani, and wife Deborah; Matthew Marzani and wife Rose; Valerie Cameron, and husband Bill; Andrea Marzani, Nadine Burns, and sister-in-law Monica Marzani; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Laurie was preceded in death by her brother Raymond Marzani.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Maria, Danielle, Lori, Jane, and everyone at Hospice of the Sacred Heart (Dunmore), and of course to Wendy Wassel, who will always be a Youshock.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at Mary, Mother of God Parish William Street Scranton, PA at 10:00 a.m. Friends will be received Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in Duffy & Snowdon Funeral Home 401 Church Street, Moscow, PA
Interment and rite of committal will be conducted at St. Stanislaus Cemetery – Scranton, PA.
