The Friends of the Scranton Public Library welcome all to their book sale from now until Sept. 19 at the Marketplace at Steamtown, on the second floor in front of Crunch Fitness. There are thousands of children’s and adults’ fiction and nonfiction books plus audio books, DVDs, CDs and jigsaw puzzles. The prices range from $1 to $2 with children’s books ranging from 25 cents to $1. The hours are Wednesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. On Saturday there will be a $5 fill a Friends’ tote bag sale. Also on Saturday only, as a community service, any teachers, those who work for nonprofits or those who have a free little library may take whatever they can use for free. All proceeds benefit the Scranton Public Library, including the free Sundays with Friends monthly events at the Children’s Library.
