A crash Tuesday in Hamilton killed a motorcycle driver, police said.

Officers responded to a report of a crash in the area near the intersection of Whitehorse-Mercerville and Kuser Roads around 2:40 p.m.

A 2003 GMC pickup truck was exiting the parking lot of a shopping center and collided with a 1997 Yamaha motorcycle driving northbound on Whitehorse-Mercerville Road, police said.

He was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck “did not sustain any life-threatening injuries,” Hamilton Police said.

The Hamilton Fire Division and Emergency Medical Services assisted at the scene.
