Cigar Page, undoubtedly the fastest-growing cigar retailer of the last decade, will add its first physical store next year. It won’t just be the company’s first store; Cigar Page claims that it will be the world’s largest cigar store.

The store will be located at 1010 Harvard Ave. in Bethlehem, Pa. The company says the total building will have 66,000-square-feet of usable floor space. About half of that will be used for the retail operation, which will include:

24,000-square-feet of retail space, with 32-foot ceilings
4,000-square-feet of outdoor patio space
Indoor seating for more than 200 patrons
A full-service bar with 42 beers on tap
A second story, mezzanine lounge
A 20-foot-tall stone fireplace

The star of the show will be the humidor, which is how the company will make its claim as the world’s largest cigar store. The retail humidor will measure 4,400-square-feet in area but 60,000-cubic-feet in volume. It will be filled with 750,000 cigars.

A representative told the Bethlehem City Council that it is expected to operate from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. from Thursday to Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.

JG Petrucci, the company’s development partner, will break ground on the building later this year and it is expected to open in late 2026.

Brandshopper, LLC—the parent company of Cigar Page—will use the rest of the building for its corporate headquarters, which means more than 100 employees will be based out of the new building plus an additional 25 new retail employees. In addition, it plans to use 23,000-square-feet of the new building for a warehouse and storage space. The company will keep its current 50,000-square-foot warehouse in nearby East Allen Township.

“This is my 30th year in the cigar industry, and building on the success of CigarPage.com, our team set out to create the ultimate physical destination for cigar lovers,” said Keith Meier, founder and ceo of Brandshopper, in a press release. “This is truly the big house of cigars, and it will be far and away the largest retail cigar store in the world. In a climate of constantly increasing prices, this space will exemplify the Cigar Page mission of bringing peak cigar experiences at the best prices in America.”

If Bethlehem, Pa. sounds familiar, it’s because the Lehigh Valley town is home to Cigars International, the largest cigar retailer. This particular location will be less than five minutes away from Cigars International.

Meier founded not only Brandshopper/Cigar Page but also Cigars International. In 1996, he launched Cigars International, operating it from his apartment just as e-commerce was beginning. Under his leadership, Cigars International grew its online and catalog businesses, added CigarBid.com, and opened two retail stores in the area.

In 2007, he sold Cigars International to Swedish Match, which later merged it into what is now known as STG. Meier continued working for Cigars International under its new owner but left in late 2011.

Less than four years later, he launched Brand Shopper, which includes FieldSupply.com and WingSupply.com, two hunting-related e-commerce sites. In 2021, the Vandermarliere family, the owner of J. Cortès and Oliva, made an investment in Brandshopper. In less than a decade, CigarPage.com—which so far has only had an e-commerce site—has grown immensely. By volume, it is likely one of the five largest sellers of handmade cigars in the U.S.
