The University of Scranton’s non-partisan Royals Vote initiative is gearing up for the 2026 General Election, set for Tuesday, Nov. 3.
In collaboration with campus partners, Royals Vote is hosting the first Voting and Civic Engagement Expo. The event will take place this Thursday, Sept. 17 from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. on the DeNaples Center Patio. The expo will include information on how to participate in the election process, register to vote, and additional resources available through Royals Vote.
In addition, representatives from both the Lackawanna County Democratic and Republican parties will be present to provide information and connect with interested students.*
Beyond this Thursday’s expo, Royals Vote is set to host a variety of voter registration drives over the course of the next month to ensure that all eligible students are prepared for election day. Key deadlines include Monday, Oct.19 by 5 p.m., the last day to register to vote in the November election in Pennsylvania, and Monday, Oct. 27 by 5 p.m., the last day to request a mail-in ballot.
Royals Vote is a coalition of University of Scranton offices, departments and student clubs. The campus-wide non-partisan Royals Vote initiative works to ensure that everyone on campus is ready to vote by election day. Faculty can also request that students and staff make brief voter engagement presentations to classes.
