Nine Lehigh Valley establishments were cited in August by the state Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for alleged liquor law violations.
Licensees will have a chance to defend themselves against the citations before an administrative law judge, who may impose fines between $50 to $1,000 for minor violations, or up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. The judge may also suspend or revoke business licenses or mandate training.
The following businesses were cited:
Lehigh County
Mercantile Club of Emmaus, Emmaus: Allegedly failed to maintain record in conformity with the liquor code between Aug. 5, 2025 and June 30.
Southwark Hose Co. No. 9, Catasauqua: Allegedly sold alcoholic beverages to nonmembers on March 14.
Big Woody’s, Allentown: Allegedly failed to have board-approved manager complete necessary training between Aug. 14, 2025, and July 22.
Red Lobster, Whitehall: Allegedly failed to notify board within 15 days of a change of a manager between April 13 and July 27.
Dhaarinee LLC, Allentown: Allegedly failed to have alcohol service person complete necessary training within six months of being hired between Oct. 31 and Aug. 4.
Northampton County
515 Main, Bethlehem: Allegedly operated the establishment in a loud or noisy manner on Dec. 14, Dec. 21, Jan. 10, Jan. 11 and April 19.
Black & Blue, Easton: Allegedly stored pre-mixed or infused liquor beyond a single operating day on May 28 and June 26.
SE WY CO Beverage Corporation, Bethlehem: Allegedly sold ready-to-drink cocktails for off-premises consumption not in conformity with the liquor code on May 17.
Beer Mussels, Hellertown: Allegedly failed to have an alcohol service person complete necessary training within six months of being hired between Aug. 14, 2025, and July 15.
