(WHTM) – The leading candidates for Governor of Pennsylvania will meet for their only scheduled debate on October 7 in Harrisburg.
Governor Josh Shapiro (D) and State Treasurer Stacy Garrity (R) will debate after meeting a set of criteria adopted by Nexstar Media Group.
abc27’s Dennis Owens and WPXI’s Lisa Sylvester will moderate the debate in the abc27 studio asking the candidates questions important to voters.

Election Day is Nov. 3, 2026. Pennsylvania voters have until Oct. 19 to register to vote and Oct. 27 to request a mail-in or absentee ballot. Polling places are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., barring a judicial order.
