One of the area’s most popular fall events is returning later this month, with a new twist. Harvest Days at Olde Stone Farm in Williams Township has become Harvest Nights, with nearly all of the same family-friendly activities that have made it popular in place.
Farm owners Amy and Jim Koch said the decision to move the event from the daytime to evenings Friday and Saturday was partly motivated by the fact that fall days are busy for many families, especially if kids participate in seasonal athletics or other extracurricular activities.
The farm’s popular corn maze, which is custom-cut by Jim each year, will now be a flashlight corn maze with photo opportunities spread throughout it. There will be moonlight hayrides each evening, weather permitting, and the farm is adding fire pits for warmth and ambience.
Moving the event to evenings will also keep it comfortable for guests, Amy Koch said, since Harvest Days in the past have often been hot.
Food trucks will be on site while Harvest Nights is open, with Ridge Runner BBQ, Clam Jam Boil & BBQ, Dinky’s and Grateful Dogs included in this year’s lineup. As always, Williams Township Fire Co. (with Easton Wine Project) will also be on site to host a pizza fundraiser one night (Friday, Oct. 9).
Other highlights of this year’s Harvest Nights event include:
• Mini Highland cattle from Deranged Ranch
• Cornhole as part of a games area
• S’mores
• Pumpkins for sale
• Local honey, cider and baked goods for sale
• Jack-o-lantern straw maze for little ones
• Face painting by Truly Enchanted
• Vintage tractors on display
The event is fall-themed rather than spooky, so it’s appropriate for all ages, and there is ample parking along with restrooms on site.
Harvest Nights will have a different layout with additional lighting and a permanent structure for ticket sales, along with plenty of outdoor seating inside for guests who need it.
The Kochs first opened Harvest Days in the fall of 2021, as area residents began to enjoy seasonal events again in the wake of the pandemic. Their goal has always been to make it a family-friendly event that welcomes both locals and visitors from the Lehigh Valley and beyond.
Harvest Nights will open for the season on Friday, Sept. 25 and be open Fridays and Saturdays from 5 to 9 p.m. through Saturday, Oct. 31.
Olde Stone Farm is located at 1350 Raubsville Road, Easton, PA, and is a 10 to 15 minute drive from the Saucon Valley and Bethlehem areas.
