On September 4, Jeff Edmond was sentenced to 18 to 40 years in state prison for the murder of Ledomperignon “Lele” Eady, an incident that occurred on October 30, 2024. Edmond was convicted of Third-Degree Murder in June following a jury trial.
The prosecution was the result of a close partnership between the Erie County District Attorney’s Office and the Erie Police Department. Investigators conducted an extensive and detailed investigation that uncovered critical evidence, including video footage from multiple sources. The evidence showed Edmond pursuing Eady before the fatal encounter and carrying out a violent attack that resulted in the victim’s death.
Prosecutors presented the evidence at trial, demonstrating Edmond’s direct involvement in the homicide. The footage and investigative findings played a key role in securing the conviction and ultimately bringing the case to a conclusion.
