South Whitehall Township Police Department
S. WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. — A familiar face will continue to lead the South Whitehall Township Police Department.
Stephen Brown was appointed as chief of police, the department announced Thursday.
He’s been serving as interim chief since March. Brown has been with the department since 2007, rising through the ranks from police officer to interim chief and now chief.
“Throughout his career, he has played a significant role in department operations, training, accreditation, community relations, school resource officer programs, policy development, and organizational leadership,” the police department said in a statement.
Brown took over for former chief Frank Lombardo, who left in late February after almost a year with the department.
