BALA CYNWYD, Pa. (WPVI) — Two people were taken to the hospital after a large tree came crashing down on a roadway Friday afternoon in Montgomery County.
It happened around 1:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Belmont Avenue at the split for Old Belmont Avenue in Bala Cynwyd.
Authorities tell Action News that the tree hit two vehicles and a traffic signal when it came down.

There was no immediate word on how seriously the victims were injured.
Belmont is closed between Jefferson and Rockhill, as is the EB Belmont Ave ramp from I-76.
The closure is expected to last through the evening rush as crews work to clear the accident and tree.
They also need to make repairs to the traffic signal.
