Vehicle rolls onto its side after crash on I-95 South near Betsy Ross Bridge

Multiple lanes of Interstate 95 southbound were closed midday Friday after a crash near the Betsy Ross Bridge.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Multiple lanes of Interstate 95 southbound were closed midday Friday after a crash near the Betsy Ross Bridge.

Video from Chopper 6 showed one vehicle flipped over.

It apparently had its roof removed as Philadelphia firefighters worked to rescue the people inside.

Another heavily damaged vehicle was stopped nearby.

Medics could be seen attending to several people.

There was no immediate word on the cause of this crash.
