DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Dauphin County inducted six residents into the Pennsylvania Voter Hall of Fame on Wednesday for voting in 50 consecutive November elections.
The 2026 inductees are Barbara Jean Gallagher, Robert J. Gallagher, Leonard J. Bennett, Thomas F. Burns, James R. Akers and Stanley Carl Segal.
The Pennsylvania Voter Hall of Fame was established in 1986 to acknowledge residents who have voted in at least 50 consecutive November elections. More than 25,000 voters have been inducted in the last four decades with Dauphin County having the second-highest number of inductees among Pennsylvania counties.
“All of today’s inductees from Dauphin County embody a patriotic commitment to our electoral process. I congratulate them on their good citizenship, and I thank them for inspiring the rest of us,” Secretary of the Commonwealth Al Schmidt said.
People can nominate themselves, or someone they think qualifies, by submitting an application to a county elections office.
