Mary, Mother of God Parish at Holy Rosary Church was the setting Aug. 22, 2026, for the wedding of Stephanie Poveromo, Scranton, and Gabriel Brutico, Clarks Summit. The bride is the daughter of Jeffrey and Patricia Poveromo, Scranton. The bridegroom is the son of Dr. Anthony and Francie Brutico, Clarks Summit.
The Rev. Cyril Edwards officiated at the 1 p.m. ceremony.
Amanda McKenna, Clarks Summit, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor. Emily Marichak, Scranton, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Markie McAndrew, Scranton; Brittney Lee, Scranton, cousin of the bride; Mikaela Brutico, Clarks Summit, sister of the bridegroom; Rachel Giannotti, Clarks Summit, sister of the bridegroom; and Alane Policicchio, sister of the bridegroom.
Lucia Poveromo, Scranton, niece of the bride; and Olivia Lee, Scranton, cousin of the bride, Scranton, were junior bridesmaids. Annie Scanlon, Dunmore; Briella Giannotti, Clarks Summit, niece of the bridegroom; and Regia Brutico, Waverly, niece of the bridegroom, were flower girls.
Joseph Brutico, Clarks Summit, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Ushers were Jeffrey Poveromo, Scranton, brother of the bride; Anthony Brutico, Scranton, brother of the bridegroom; Angelo Brutico, Waverly, brother of the bridegroom; Vincent Giannotti, Clarks Summit, brother-in-law of the bridegroom; Robert Policicchio, brother-in-law of the bridegroom; Donnie Lee Jr., Scranton, cousin of the bride; and Donnie Lee III, Scranton, cousin of the bride.

A reception was held at Constantino’s Catering, Clarks Summit.
The bride is a graduate of Scranton High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in music therapy from Marywood University and master’s degree in health care administration from the University of Scranton. She is currently a strategic sourcing specialist at Geisinger.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Abington Heights High School. He earned a degree in biology from Penn State University, a master’s degree in biomedical science and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. He is currently a primary care physician with Geisinger.
The couple resides in Clarks Summit.
