Nighttime bridge repair work is expected to disrupt traffic along I-295 and nearby roadways starting Monday.
The project will begin with a overnight ramp closure Monday, Sept. 21, according to PennDOT.
From 9 p.m. Monday until 6 a.m. Tuesday, the ramp connecting Lincoln Highway to eastbound I-295 will be closed and detoured.
During the ramp closure, drivers in Middletown Township will be directed to follow a detour using Business Lincoln Highway, Woodbourne Road, Old Lincoln Highway/Maple Avenue (Route 213), and Lincoln Highway.
In addition to the single-night ramp detour, drivers can expect ongoing lane reductions on I-295 over the next two weeks.
Starting Monday, Sept. 21, and running through Friday, Oct. 2, alternating lane closures will occur on I-295 between Lincoln Highway and Yardley-Newtown Road. The lane restrictions will be active Mondays through Thursdays, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning and impacting travel in Middletown and Lower Makefield townships.
