COPLAY, Pa. — Police in Lehigh County are looking for the driver involved in a pedestrian crash earlier this month.
It happened on Sept. 10, around 7:35 p.m. in the area of S. Second Street near Hokendauqua Street in Coplay, police said.
A woman was helping her son put a bicycle into her SUV when she was hit by a suspected silver or pewter-colored Toyota Camry, likely a 2004-2010 model, police say.
The driver stopped to check on the woman, and she said she was okay and the two did not exchange information. Later the pedestrian went to the hospital and learned her injuries were much more severe than believed, police say.
Police are not looking to press charges at this time, but officers are looking for the driver so they can exchange information given the severity of the accident.
The driver is described as a white man in his 50s, with white facial hair.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Coplay Police Department.
