Equipment outage causes ground stop, ongoing delays at Philadelphia International Airport
PHILADELPHIA —
Travelers flying into Philadelphia International Airport are facing significant delays after an equipment outage prompted the Federal Aviation Administration to issue a ground stop on Monday morning, according to NBC10 Philadelphia.

The FAA implemented the ground stop at 9:48 a.m. for flights bound for Philadelphia.

Federal officials said the outage involved Philadelphia TRACON, a facility where air traffic controllers manage aircraft approaching and departing regional airports.
The equipment problem also affected operations at Teterboro Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey.
