Lackawanna Football Conference Division I matchups produced intense games last week, but did little to shake up the weekly rankings of top teams.
Top-ranked North Pocono defeated Valley View, 27-14, and Scranton Prep beat Delaware Valley, 14-7, in matchups between ranked teams. The outcomes produced a minor shift in The Times-Tribune High School Football Poll.
As a result, Scranton Prep and Valley View flipped spots in this week’s poll with the Cavaliers moving from No. 4 to No. 3.
Meanwhile, North Pocono continues to hold a strong grip on the top spot, a position it has held since the 2025 preseason poll. The Trojans won their 14th straight regular-season game last week and are again a unanimous No. 1 as they get set to host No. 10 Abington Heights (2-2) on Friday. Last week, Abington Heights defeated West Scranton, 29-13. It will be the third straight week that North Pocono faces a ranked opponent.
Scranton Prep moved to 3-1 overall, starting its LFC Division I season with a win at Delaware Valley. They host West Scranton (2-2) on Friday at Dunmore Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Valley View (2-2) has lost to Northwestern Lehigh (4-0) and North Pocono (4-0) by an average of 12.5 points. Northwestern Lehigh beat its other three opponents by an average of 53.0 points. North Pocono’s other wins have come by an average of 29.0 points.
Lakeland remains at No. 5 after beating Susquehanna to improve to 4-0. The Chiefs will host rival Carbondale Area (2-2) on Friday.
Delaware Valley remains at No. 6 despite its 1-3 record. Its losses are against teams with a combined record of 9-3 and by an average of 4.0 points. The Warriors have another challenge at No. 9 Wallenpaupack (3-1) on Friday. Wallenpaupack has won three straight games and is averaging 47.0 points in the victories.
Riverside (4-0) defeated Lackawanna Trail, 27-3, last week and stays at No. 7. The Vikings play at Old Forge (1-3) in the Triboro Rivalry game Friday at 7 p.m.
Also holding its position in the poll is Honesdale at No. 8. The Hornets (3-1) had another high-scoring game in a 51-20 win over Carbondale Area. The Hornets are averaging 42.3 points in their three wins and play at Crestwood (1-3) on Friday.
