Wilson made a statement last Friday night that echoed well beyond the borders of the Lancaster-Lebanon League.

With their 17-0 blanking of Manheim Township, the Bulldogs not only served notice to District 3 Class 6A teams, but also the rest of the state.

For their dominating win over the Blue Streaks, Wilson has cracked the top 10 in the last Pennsylvania state football rankings complied by Eric Epler of Pennlive.com.

The Bulldogs (3-1) are ranked ninth in Class 6A with unbeaten Pittsburgh Central Catholic at No. 1. District 3 foe Harrisburg (4-0) checks in at No. 2 with another District 3 powerhouse, Bishop McDevitt (3-1), at No. 6.

Unbeaten Twin Valley (4-0) is ranked fifth in Class 5A and Exeter (5A) and Wyomissing (3A), which got its first win of the season on Saturday, are “teams to watch” in their respective classes.
